Fitness For Seniors

Community Health Club offers a variety of Senior Fitness classes that are designed to help older adults improve cardiovascular health, strength, balance and flexibility. Senior Fitness classes incorporate low impact exercises to keep your heart healthy while also enjoying the benefits of working out in a safe and supervised group setting. If you are 50 years of age or older, we encourage you to join the Senior Circle program, which provides you a waived activation fee and a 10% discount off monthly club dues. We invite you to enjoy the benefits that the following Senior Fitness programs offer in an environment that promotes fitness and friendships to improve one’s quality of life.

Cardio Combo Circuit All Levels

(60 min.) We keep it moving with short bouts of cardio mixed with strengthening moves using the Nautilus equipment.

Low Impact Fitness/Strength/ Stretch & Senior Fitness Levels I-II

(55 min.) A fitness class with cardiovascular and strength training, core work, and stretching specific to seniors or those new to exercise. Great music helps keep the workout fun.

Senior Fitness Level I

(55 min.) A fitness class designed for seniors that combine low-impact cardiovascular activities, flexibility and strength training in a positive and energizing environment. Improve your strength, endurance, agility, flexibility, and balance in an easy-to-follow workout.

Yoga & Yoga for Stiff People All Levels

(60 min.) Learn yoga poses and how proper positioning using props like chairs, blocks and straps can help inflexible muscles. This class will assist transition to Intermediate yoga as well as BodyFLOW™.

Restorative Yoga All Levels

(60 min.) Come and learn to relax and relieve effects of stress in the body, using props, breath and gentle yoga poses. Our goal is a wonderful sense of well-being!

Silver Sneakers Splash Level I/II

(55 min.) This class is designed for seniors and/or members with arthritis or muscle/joint related issues. The exercises help relieve stiffness, increase range of motion, and build strength.
